This year the EIFF used Eric Boyle for almost all of its print requirements. Such is the nature of the Festival’s programming that turnaround times on producing print – particularly the Festival’s 176 page A4 Official Programme – is unusually tight. Departing from previous printers who were experienced with the process before therefore represented something of a gamble.

Eric Boyle was given the contract on the basis of a 20% reduction in cost and a guarantee that all deadlines would be met. Eric Boyle delivered – on time, on money but also on producing a programme which I believe was superior in quality from previous years. The Official Programme has an international distribution and is arguably the single most important piece of print the Festival produces. The quality of print Eric Boyle produced reflected the need and stature of this.
